Le Bike Polo, ou "Polo-Bicyclette", trouve ses origines au début du XXe siècle aux Etats-Unis. Il fut revisité par les coursiers à vélo new-yorkais dans les années 90 : au péril de leurs vies, ces acrobates à vélo payés à la course se frayaient un passage entre les yellow-cabs de la 5e Avenue avant de se retrouver et de jouer au Bike polo à Central Park entre deux livraisons. Cette discipline est aujourd'hui pratiquée dans le monde entier et notamment en Argentine, où le tournoi Che Polo s'est déroulé l'an passé.

The Bike Polo, or "Polo-Bicyclette" has its origins in the early twentieth century in the United States. It was revisited by bicycle couriers in New York in the 90s: at the peril of their lives, these acrobats on bicycle, paid to the race, fought their way between the yellow-cabs on 5th Avenue, before meeting and playing Bike polo in Central Park between two deliveries. This discipline is now practiced all around the world, including in Argentina, where the Che Polo tournament took place last year.
